Moved out, moved in, moving on up

So I'm finally out of one temporary residence and into another.  Permanence has not been a theme during my stay in Korea thus far, but as time goes on I'm sure I'll get into a routine as I integrate into my new unit.

Speaking of which, I had the privilege of meeting many of the people I'll be working with over the next year. I feel quite excited as most everyone seems very candid, open, and professional.  More importantly, most people are very willing to help as it's pretty obvious that I am the new guy.  As always, I'm going to do my best to keep an open mind about everything and soak up the knowledge.  There's only room to grow from here.

One thing I've noticed about my blog is that I've yet to upload any photos.  While I've been occupied with in-processing I haven't really seen anything that catches the eye (other than my face of course) but I can't help but be amazed at how beautiful Korea is.  Being in the same place for too long (or a week...) you can fall into the trap of taking some things for granted, and Korea really is a great place to be.  I had always heard negative things about Korea from people in my work field, but I always knew from living here and, well, being Korean that this is a wonderful post.  Also the "preferential" treatment I seem to get from Koreans is a nice perk as well.

I'm excited to begin my new position.  I look forward to giving it my all and making the place I'm at better than what it was previously.  One can only do his or her best, right?  Apologies for not writing about something more exciting, but as my leisure time and travels in Korea grow I'm sure my stories will too.

Until then, take care of yourselves and always count your blessings.
